Sorry but I am going to have to correct you on that. Subwoofers create sound in every direction. The reason it might seem louder or in fact could be louder if it is not taking up space in the enclosure or it would tune it differently. Sound is affected by inverting subs, but the sound does that come from the back of the woofer. Does that make sense?
but aint that why you put it in a box to help or does that sound better
because the bass from the sub actually comes from the back

oh yeah i have a type-r and its pretty impressive, so i cant imagine how the type-x’s do…and i know they can handle a couple grand in watts
Yeah, if it’s in fact 4 type x sub woofers I would assume they are pushing 4000 watts RMS just for the bass alone.
